Grid-tie solar power system for healthcare in Bangladesh

Dulas were very pleased to be able to work with our Bangladesh prime partners, Tradevision Ltd to specify, supply, install and commission a 1.6kWp grid-tie solar power system on one of the roofs of the ground-breaking Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed. The idea for the collaboration began when Dulas staff were invited to make an assessment of different solar power options for the hospital, which is a large user of electric power and is also having to cope with daily power cuts.

Providing uninterrupted power

This system is enabling Dulas and CRP to continue to record the generation of solar electricity to compare predictions and also to examine the interaction of a grid-tie solar system with a weak grid supply and a back up diesel generator. There was also an opportunity for both on site and office based training for users and technicians from our Senior Engineer.

During the construction the team were honoured to have the opportunity to meet with the inspirational founder of CRP, Valerie Taylor.

This demonstration solar power system was supplied free of charge and staff at the centre made the project possible through their knowledge, assistance and flexibility during construction.
